Program

CMMRS 2020 will take place online in its entirety. We will be using a combination of Slack+Zoom technology for the school. Attendance is by invitation only. The school schedule is shown below. Please note the following points:

  • Times are displayed in Central European Summer Time (CEST)
  • Lectures will be delivered live on Zoom as per the schedule below. The lecture recordings will be made available by the end of the day for students who are unable to attend because of time differences. Students will be able to ask questions live on Zoom or post them offline on Slack.
  • Past attendees have highly appreciated the opportunity to network and discuss technical and non-technical topics with other participants (attendees, doctoral students, and faculty from the participating institutions). We’re trying to approximate this experience to the extent possible with the following three virtual events:
    1. Virtual Meal: All participants will be randomly split into groups of about size 10 to share meals over Zoom meetings.
    2. Breakouts with Faculty: Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to different faculty members in group meetings.
    3. GatheringsAttendees will be able to engage in informal conversations with other participants, simulating the experiencing of “hallway discussions”.
